Swimming is a good exercise to increase your heart rate and increase muscle. It is something that you can enjoy at any age. Also water aerobics can be very beneficial. To enjoy the benefits of swimming year around you may have to joining a health club or your local YWCA or YMCA.

For the exercise plan to be more effective, you need to plan it and then follow the plan. Exercise is important at any age, but you might find as I have that middle age brings on many things that that we can overcome with the proper diet and exercise. Type 2 diabetes is on the increase and it can be completely reversed and eliminated by eating healthy and getting an adequate amount of exercise. We also see there is an increasing number of people who are overweight. Being overweight exposes you to the possibility of requiring more healthcare as you age.
Aging is going to happen whether we want it to or not. Personally I’m middle aged and I have no regrets that every year I get a year older. I believe this can be a very enjoyable part of our tenure on this planet, but only if we can maintain our health and have a good quality of life.
